About Tripnoa

Honest travel information, for everyone

Why I built Tripnoa

I once worked in a travel agency. Every day I met people who had been given the wrong information online — about visas, documents and entry rules. Some had paid for things they didn’t need; others had nearly missed a trip because of a rule nobody told them about.

When I looked closer, I noticed that much of that misleading information came from websites connected to travel agents, where confusion is good for business. Travellers deserved better: one place to check what they really need, explained simply, with links to the official sources.

So I made Tripnoa — a free tool anyone can open to find the best, clearest information available, and plan their trip step by step without being sold to.

What Tripnoa does

Tripnoa gives every traveller a free answer to “do I need a visa?” for every passport and destination — including easier routes if you already hold a visa or residence permit from another country. With a free account, it becomes a personal travel app: your situation in plain words, the next step, deadlines, documents, a wallet for bookings and help while you’re abroad.

Where our information comes from

Visa requirements come from the open Passport Index dataset and are checked and corrected by our team. Rules for travellers who hold other visas are researched from official government pages. Laws, safety, health and emergency information comes from UK government foreign travel advice (Open Government Licence v3.0), advisory levels from the U.S. Department of State, and embassy listings and photos from Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons, credited on each page.

Independent and free

Tripnoa is not a government service and is not connected to any travel agency or visa centre. We never process visa applications and never charge for information. Always confirm requirements with the official sources linked on every page before you travel.
